The cuckoo clock immediately became an item that every home must have. Some 680 clock makers and around 580 decorative wall clock dealers already started to cover the Triberg and Neustadt districts by the early 1800s. As most farms were covered with snow in winter; clocks were usually made during that time. The details of their works where made by the black forest cuckoo makers especially in this time of the year. Clock sellers will get an opportunity to exhibit and sell their fine cuckoo clocks, they have made painstakingly, after the winter season is over.
