The Ibanez S7420 7-String Electric Guitar

The Ibanez S7420 7-string electric is a guitar that is light to hold yet produces anything but a lightweight sound. The Ibanez S7420 features a lightweight, slimline carved mahogany body; the innovative Zero Resistance Tremolo; a 24-fret Wizard II neck; and seven strings that allows players to utilise all that seven strings can offer. Ibanez are famous for producing guitars with beautifully sleek contours and the big sounding S7420 is no exception.

All Ibanez S Series guitars are made by expert Japanese craftsman using only the best components. Giving the Ibanez S 7420 a thrashing is made easy by the guitars super-thin, lightweight mahogany body. The clever design of the S7420’s mahogany body combined with the quality of construction gives the guitar an impressive resonance for its size. The S7420 features a short tracer pickup to pick-up more subtle sounds and Hot Grinder pickups for extra volume and grunt. The S7420 is super-quick with its slim-line and silky-smooth three-piece Wizard II-7 Maple neck. The seventh string, usually tuned to the low B, can open you up to styles as varied as those demonstrated by Matthew Bellamy from Muse to Korn to Steve Vai.

The S7420 features the innovative ZR tremolo which is exclusive to Ibanez S Series guitars. Zero Resistance technology (ZR), contains a ball-bearing based pivot joint (instead of the standard knife-edge pivots) to maximise tuning stability.

This precise system stabilises the bridge and ensures the highest level of tuning stability by consistently returning the tremolo to the centre point, or zero point.
