Bowl Live

I Love To Go Furniture Shopping
There was a neighbor, Clark, who borrowed things and forgot to return them. He had been in possession of our echo chainsaw for over a month now. This Saturday we were going to need it ourselves. I was getting it back. Let him buy one of his own.
I thought to myself that this is how wars start. If neighbors can’t be considerate of each other, how can countries get along. The next-door neighbor, Clark, should have known we would need it back by now. He has been repeatedly inconsiderate over the past three years since we moved here.
I placed a bowl of fresh cut flowers on the beautiful surface of my new black dining room set. It looked like it came out of a magazine. I stood there admiring it. My friends were coming for a late lunch and I was still setting the table.
Lenore and Clark, her husband, lived right next door. I hoped to get the chance to bring up the borrowed chainsaw during lunch. It wouldn’t be the easiest topic to include along with fashions and prices of food. I would try although it wouldn’t be easy to fit it in the conversation.
In the kitchen, the food was ready. A nice chicken salad with macaroni and mayonaisse was well-chilled. I had felt like a Martha Stewart clone as I tasted it earlier. It would go well with the croissants and orange sherbet for dessert. I was a good cook and proud of it.
Here they are I thought as I went to answer the door. I welcomed them in. They all looked nice. Jeana in blue, Ruba in yellow and Lenore in jeans and sweater as always. She loved casual clothes no matter what the occasion was. I was wearing royal blue and sandals.
I smiled and said come on in. I mixed drinks and poured wine while we chatted. We went into the dining room and I began to serve the food. Jeana said John, her husband would cut his grass on Saturday or Sunday. This was the opening I needed to bring up the borrowed chainsaw. I asked Lenore if Clark was finished using our chainsaw yet (it was about time). I mentioned that Jerry, my better half would be trimming trees. I casually asked Lenore if he could stop over and pick up our chainsaw.
She said he was and she’d have him bring it over before Saturday. I smiled and thanked her as I spooned out some more chicken salad onto her plate. She said Clark really liked his own poulan chainsaw and used it regularly. We compared prices and decided both had been quality purchases. We would let the guys compare them and see which one lasted the longest.

The Doors – Live at the Hollywood Bowl [VHS] $9.98 Watching The Doors Live at the Hollywood Bowl is a sobering experience, for the viewer must confront the painful truth that popular music, to judge by its increasingly infantile and banal state, will never see their like again.
