These are the Top 6 Australian states! Hang on a minute…

OK for some of you smart cookies you may have spotted something wrong with this title. The first point to address is that there are only 6 states in Australia. The reason that we are going to look at all six is because we want to try and cover the whole country (continent) and witch each state having a defining feature.

• Let us first take a look at the largest state in Australia, Western Australia. This is one of the fastest growing cities in the whole of Australia, Perth. This is a learners paradise for the museums, or a great location for you to try a walkabout.
• In the South east of Australia we will run into Victoria. This is the most densely populated area of Australia but is however one of the favourite places for tourists to visit as well. Melbourne is clearly the main attraction here, and pulls in thousands of tourists each year. This state has some of the most stunning environmental features, namely the Twelve apostles and the national park.
• Tasmania is an island just off the south east coast of Australia. This is home to one of the most famous animals in the Australia region, the Tasmania Devil, a stocky muscular marsupial found only in Tasmania. The scenery here is to die for, and one of my personal favourite states.
• Looking for this state won’t take long, South Australia. This is also the only state that borders with all of the mainland territories. The wine in South Australia is one of its best commodities.
• Looking towards the north east you will see Queensland. This is where colonials brought convicts to work on building towns and getting agriculture started, and aborigines got here over 45,000 years before them. The land here is very dry and not very suitable for anything involving plants. Of course Brisbane the capital has now become a thriving city and has lovely whether all year round. Some people say that this is the prettiest city in the whole of Australia.
• Finishing up on this list in New South wales. This is at the far east of Australia and is home to the largest and most famous of all the Australian cities, Sydney. Tourism is a big deal for this city, it is one of its biggest money spinners!

So now you know all of the Australian States and what is different about each one, all you need to decide is do you want to embark on Australian holidays, Sydney holidays or maybe for you it could be generally New South Wales holidays.
